We are proud to share that Heather Atnip was a featured presenter at the Institute of Continuing Legal Education’s (ICLE) annual No-Fault Summit, held on April 23–24, 2026, at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan.
Leading a session in the Technology track titled “Law and AI,” Heather provided trial lawyers with actionable strategies to safely and effectively integrate AI into Michigan’s complex no-fault system. Her presentation focused on utilizing modern technology to automate repetitive administrative work, supercharge discovery and evidence review, and strengthen negotiations to achieve better settlement leverage for clients—all while strictly protecting client confidentiality and navigating ethical landmines.
By sharing this expertise with peers across the state, Heather continues her commitment to elevating the standards of legal practice and advocacy throughout Michigan.
Atnip & Associates is proud to serve as a sponsor for the Sparrow Freedom Project’s 4th Annual Southeast Michigan 5K Freedom Walk and Human Trafficking Resource Fair at Belle Isle. This vital event brings the Metro Detroit community together to raise awareness and provide essential resources for survivors of human trafficking and exploitation. Members of our legal team will be in attendance to show their support for Sparrow Freedom Project’s mission of shedding light on these critical issues in our region. We are honored to stand alongside local service providers and advocates to help create a stronger, more visible network of support for those in need. While Atnip & Associates, PLLC, focuses on serving injury victims in Michigan, we also feel called to help those facing hardship in other parts of the world. That’s why our firm supports three children through the NoChild sponsorship program.
The children we sponsor live in Nepal and India, where many are at risk of poverty, disease, and human trafficking. Our team chose to get involved because we believe that helping kids stay safe and supported should matter everywhere, not just here at home.
In Nepal, our sponsorship helps girls who face a high risk of trafficking. The program gives them access to clean water, education, medical care, job training, and counseling. It also teaches life skills and leadership so they can bring hope to others in their community.
In India, our support goes to children who live in an orphanage. There, they receive food, shelter, medical care, and Bible-based education.
One of our team members traveled to both countries to make sure these programs work the way they promise. That trip helped us confirm that our support will make a real difference in the lives of the kids we sponsor. Our work with NoChild lets us play a part in protecting children and giving them a better future. Through this sponsorship, we give more than money. We give care, attention, and follow-through to kids in need. That’s something we bring to every cause we support.
Atnip & Associates, PLLC, proudly supports Lasagna Love, a nonprofit that delivers homemade meals to families who need a hand. A hot meal can bring families comfort during stressful times involving job loss, illness, or other challenges, and that’s what Lasagna Love works hard to provide. Since its inception, this organization has delivered more than 530,000 lasagnas made by over 80,000 volunteers to millions of people in need.
Members of our team volunteer by cooking and delivering lasagnas to people across the Detroit metro area. We sign up, cook the meals in our own kitchens, and drop them off right at each family’s doorstep. There’s no cost to the families. They don’t have to meet any rules or share personal details. If they ask for help, they get it. It’s that simple.
Lasagna Love started during the pandemic and grew quickly because many people needed support, and others wanted to help. We joined this effort because it lines up with how we work: hands-on, local, and direct. We don’t just donate and step away. We roll up our sleeves and get involved.
Every family deserves care, especially during tough times. Cooking a meal might seem like a small gesture, but it can mean a lot to the person receiving it. We take pride in showing up for our neighbors, not just in the courtroom but around the community.
By supporting Lasagna Love, our team helps fight food insecurity in a personal way. We deliver meals, but we also show people that someone cares. That’s something we try to bring to everything we do, inside and outside of the office.
At Atnip & Associates, PLLC, we believe in showing up for young people in our community. We know that sports, science, and team activities give kids the chance to grow and learn. That’s why we support local programs that help students stay active, build skills, and connect with others. Two of those programs include Lakeshore High School’s football and baseball teams and Oxford High School’s robotics team.
Lakeshore High School Athletics
Team sports play an important role in helping teens stay focused, motivated, and healthy. These activities give students a chance to work hard, stay in shape, and build confidence. We sponsor Lakeshore football and baseball programs because we want these kids to develop the skills they need to succeed, both on and off the field.
Many students rely on community support to cover costs like uniforms, equipment, and travel. By stepping in as a sponsor, we help keep these programs running strong. When schools have strong athletic programs, they foster pride, teamwork, and support for all students, not just the ones who play. These programs also keep kids connected to school and out of trouble. We’re proud to play even a small part in that effort. Go Lancers!
Oxford High School Robotics Team
The Oxford High School robotics team, known as the RoboCats, brings together local students who love to build, code, and solve problems. This team competes in events that push them to design robots and present their work at competitions. These events take place at the state and national level, and they require months of planning and teamwork.
The RoboCats recently earned the FIRST Impact Award and qualified for the Michigan State Championship. That kind of success doesn’t happen without serious effort and strong community backing. We support this team because we know that science and technology education give students real tools for the future. Robotics teaches students how to plan, lead, fix mistakes, and keep trying. It also helps them explore careers they might want to pursue one day.
We admire the drive and focus these students show. When we saw the RoboCats in action, we knew we wanted to support them. Their dedication, creativity, and teamwork impressed us, and we’re proud to help them reach their goals.
Why It Matters
Supporting school programs means giving kids more than books and supplies. It means providing students with chances to build friendships, find passions, and take pride in their work. We support Lakeshore sports teams and the Oxford robotics team because these programs give students real goals to work toward. They also remind us that learning can happen in many ways and that every student deserves support.
