MACOMB COUNTY, MI – A multi-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Sterling Heights claimed the life of a 64-year-old woman, according to ClickOnDetroit.
The fatal collision occurred on Schoenherr Road, just past 15 Mile Road, at around 3:00 p.m.
Local police said one vehicle was traveling southbound when it veered past the centerline and entered the northbound lanes. Moments later, it collided with a vehicle driven by the victim, a local resident.
Officials indicated that up to four vehicles were involved, but no other information has been made available.
First responders rushed the victim to a local hospital, where she died from her injuries, confirmed officials.
A section of Schoenherr Road was shut down to accommodate an investigation. It’s unclear at this time which party was at fault in the accident.
