Snowmobile and car collide in Michigan

The roads in Michigan were covered in ice and snow on December 26, the day after Christmas, and one man decided to take his snowmobile out. Unfortunately, the ride ended with a crash as the snowmobile slammed into a car.

The man wound up in the hospital, and reports show that he's in critical condition. Authorities said that he had both external and internal injuries. He is 51 years old.

The crash happened in the middle of the day, with plenty of light for visibility, right around noon. It appears that the snowmobile was going down Curry Street, heading north, while the car was heading down Woodrow Avenue, going east.

When the Buick Park Avenue and the Polaris snowmobile both reached the intersection where those roads meet, they collided. The snowmobile was destroyed, parts scattered all over the road. The damage to the car was visible, but not as dramatic.

Police have not yet determined exactly what caused the wreck, but they do think speed played a role. They said that no one in the car was injured in the crash.

Snowmobiles are common in Michigan, but this accident shows that different types of motor vehicles don't always mix well when they're sharing the same roads. It also underscores the potential dangers of snowy and icy roads, which make crash avoidance difficult.

Those who are seriously injured could face incredibly high medical bills and life-changing injuries from which they may never fully recover. At a time like this, it's very important for them to know if they have a right to financial compensation.
