LENAWEE COUNTY, MI – One person lost their life due to a rollover crash Saturday night involving an off-road vehicle in Blissfield Township, according to ClickOnDetroit.
The accident happened at 7464 Scott Highway at around 9:30 p.m. on April 27. Michigan State Police responded to the scene some time after.
A preliminary investigation indicates a 33-year-old man was operating a yellow Honda side-by-side southbound in an area field when he lost control. Officials said the ORV rolled over several times before coming to rest.
First responders rushed the male driver to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
A passenger in the ORV was transported to the hospital for injuries considered minor.
An investigation into wreck remains ongoing, but officials say alcohol appears to be a contributing cause.
